A WOMAN MUST RISE ABOVE HER CIRCUMSTANCES

This is the first painting I have completed this Summer. My own circumstances have been challenging, so this lady is an inspiration. I took her picture last Spring and my painting buddies and I are all going to paint her! I continue to be inspired by Jane Slivka's style which is fresh and impressionistic. It is fun to paint this way!

Ok painting ladies. Let's see yours.........

I love the way I really feel the characters in your paintings. It really feels as though you can relate to this woman... and almost want to shoulder some of her burden. You are a wonderful artist and you tell a whole story through one scene. It makes your work a delight to look at over and over because as you look at it again and again, the story seens to unfold. I adore that!
